Fostering Nuanced Dialogue on the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict
The Bridge Impact is a community dedicated to fostering meaningful conversations and collective understanding on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, creating a new model for how we engage with conflict.
We host small in-person and online groups where people share perspectives and listen openly. This is a space for thoughtful conversation guided by curiosity and a commitment to understand rather than to persuade.
Participants explore topics related to the conflict in small groups. They research, exchange insights, and help lead their own discussions to deepen the group's understanding.
We bring people together who think differently, come from different backgrounds, and hold a range of beliefs, but who want to approach conflict with openness. Through building trust and relationships, we create the conditions for difficult conversations to take place.
The conversation surrounding the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is one of the most polarizing and emotionally charged topics of our time. For too long, discussions have been stifled by a culture that discourages disagreement and nuance. Binary narratives dominate, leaving little room for critical thought, empathy, or honest engagement.
At The Bridge Impact, we believe in a different way forward.
We envision a community where people develop the skills to engage across diverse perspectives. Through thoughtful conversations and collaborative learning, we offer a new approach to navigating division.
Our dialogue sessions are grounded in core principles that create the conditions for respectful conversation and meaningful exchange.
This is not about changing each other's minds or trying to convince others to defend an entire side.
Sessions stay small and intimate so there's space for everyone to speak and be heard.
Participants help create a shared goal to guide the dialogue and make it meaningful and impactful.
We encourage listening to understand, not to respond.
We value asking questions and being open to learning, rather than making assumptions about others' beliefs.
We don't filter for specific views as long as they're shared respectfully.
We encourage people to speak from their own experience to help each other understand what shaped their beliefs.
We ask that what's shared in the group stays in the group, so that people feel comfortable sharing.
We create group norms together to ensure the space remains respectful.
If you're interested in joining a session or learning more about what we do, we'd love to hear from you!
